Afreen Muneeb, who only joined the school in Year 11, achieved 6 As, 3 Distinction *s and 2 Bs, despite having to start the majority of her courses from scratch.
Craig Dillon, Executive Principal of Sheffield Park Academy, said:
“These results demonstrate considerable, sustained improvement over a number of years now at the academy and reflect the hard work and enthusiasm for learning shown by our students. Everyone should be very proud of what they have achieved.
“Thank you also to staff who set such high standards for our students and have supported them throughout their studies. In particular, I would like to congratulate senior leaders Sarah Szafraniec and Claire Bailey, whose excellent leadership and dedication has ensured another successful Year 11 cohort.”
These results follow on from last week’s A Level success. The academy achieved a 100% pass rate for A Levels and equivalent qualifications, with 87% of entries achieving A* to B grades. For A Levels only, 74% of entries achieved A*-C; an increase of 7 percentage points on 2015.
