The academy enjoyed another summer of excellent results in both GCSE and A levels, after being named as best performing school in the area and 8th in the country last year. This was set against the government’s new Progress 8 measure, which records pupil progress from the end of primary school to the end of secondary school.
The school’s achievement also earned it a letter of praise from Minister of State for School Standards Nick Gibb, who commended Sheffield Park for its high standards, hard work and professionalism.
Now the academy is inviting prospective pupils and their parents to share in that success when it holds its latest open day on Saturday 23rd September, running from 10am to 1pm.
Visitors to the school will have the opportunity to tour its fantastic facilities, take part in a range of fun packed cross-curricular activities and meet students to learn about their experiences.
Craig Dillon, Executive Principal, said: “We are ambitious for every student here at Sheffield Park Academy and look forward to welcoming prospective pupils and their parents into the school to see the tremendous progress being made, as well as showing them how we will help them to fulfil their potential.
“It’s also worth noting that along with another set of strong GCSE results, this summer also saw the number of students taking A Levels at the academy almost double, with 100% pass rate and every one of our Year 13 students going onto higher education or apprenticeships.”
