New Additions and Extensions to Sheffield Park Academy

Building ‘One Community, One Park’ to truly belong to.

We are delighted to share that a range of exciting improvements will be taking place at Sheffield Park Academy over the summer and throughout the 2026/27 academic year.

To support our growing academy community, work will include

• A brand-new classroom block, creating additional learning spaces for students and staff in both main and VI Form school.

• A new dining area - additional to our current one - for students to enjoy at social times. 

• Double-sized female and male toilets for students. 

• We will also be improving our outdoor areas, with changes to the yard space to provide more room for socialising and help daily line-ups run more smoothly. 

Due to the exciting improvements listed above, there will be some temporary alterations to site for student movement and student facilities. These have been carefully planned and already communicated in some of our e-mails from the Principal. We will remind students and staff about these nearer towards the end of August. 

Over the summer, several internal areas of the academy will be refreshed with vibrant new wall designs celebrating Sheffield, Yorkshire and our Academy Character Values. We are also updating some of our external signage so that our values - Community, Ambition, Respect and Endurance – are proudly displayed for all to see.

These developments are an exciting investment in the future of Sheffield Park Academy, and we can't wait to see them take shape. While some works will continue during the academic year, our staff have been carefully planning ahead and will work closely with contractors to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum. We remain committed to providing a safe, positive environment where learning continues uninterrupted and students can thrive every day.

We look forward to sharing updates throughout the project and welcoming students back in September 2026 to an even better Sheffield Park Academy.
