A level Further Mathematics is a more in-depth study of mathematics. You will learn a good foundation of knowledge to allow you to easily access courses at university and work related to maths, engineering, computing, and physics. To study A level Further Mathematics, you must also be studying A level Mathematics.  

Assessment:

Further mathematics is a fully exam-assessed course.  

The final exams comprise of 4 papers: 

• Core pure 1 – 1.5 hours  

• Core pure 2 – 1.5 hours  

• Decision Maths 1 – 1.5 hours 

• Further Mechanics 1 – 1.5 hours
