Why choose us

We are a values driven school with a clear mission statement to create Sheffield's influential young leaders of tomorrow.

We have made significant progress from 2019 with our grades at 7-9 - which only a small percentage of students  nationally achieve-over doubled what it was two years ago.

Our sixth form average grade has also improved since 2019 with an average grade of B+ and value added progress likely to be the best in Sheffield and among the top 10% nationally for vocational subjects and nearly 50% of our university entries are successful for the Prestigious Russel Group of Universities.

We are very proud of our ambitious and determined students  and hardworking and dedicated staff and welcome visits to understand what we are about as a school.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what some of our students and stakeholders have said about us:

I was extremely well supported and received regular high-quality feedback form my mentor. I received high levels of support both in relation to teacher standards progress and emotionally.

Thank you so much to the teachers for keeping me going! I’m not sure what I would have done without them. VI Form has been amazing and I’ll never forget it.

Education with character

Whilst academic success is very important, at Sheffield Park Academy we believe that there is more to a good education.

As well as ensuring our students succeed in exams, we aim to develop character, compassion and service.  Throughout their time at Sheffield Park Academy, students are expected to contribute to our school community and to society.  We want students to try things they cannot do, to persist in the face of difficulty and to become resilient in overcoming obstacles.

With this in mind, we provide a breadth of opportunities and experiences which seek to help our students become confident, well-rounded and ambitious young adults.  Our curriculum and enrichment programme is overflowing with opportunities to try something new and develop new skills.  In addition to our very wide range of extracurricular clubs, our students enjoy trips, university visits, talks from inspirational speakers from the worlds of medicine, law and business as well as countless opportunities to collaborate with their peers at United Learning schools across the country.

We are incredibly proud to deliver an Education with Character; an education which challenges, inspires and excites our students and prepares them for the ups and downs of life.
