Welcome

At Sheffield South East Sixth Form, we want every young person who walks through our doors to feel that they belong, that they matter and that they can achieve something truly special.

We know that choosing your next steps after Year 11 is a big moment. Sixth Form is about much more than the subjects you study or the grades you achieve. It is about discovering who you are, building confidence, finding your voice and developing the skills to shape your own future. It is an exciting journey, and we want every student to feel supported, encouraged and ready to embrace it.

Our ethos is “college feel, school support.” We want our students to enjoy the freedom, independence and opportunities that come with Sixth Form, while knowing there is a team around them who genuinely care. We will celebrate their successes, encourage them when things feel difficult and challenge them to aim higher than they ever thought possible. We believe that high expectations and genuine care go hand in hand.

Everything we do is rooted in our four values: Community, Ambition, Respect and Endurance.

  • Community – We want every student to feel part of something. We look after one another, celebrate each other's achievements and create a place where everyone feels they belong.
  • Ambition – We encourage our students to dream big, aim high and believe in what is possible. We want them to leave us with the qualifications, confidence and opportunities to pursue the future they deserve.
  • Respect – We value every individual, celebrate differences and expect everyone to treat others with kindness, dignity and understanding.
  • Endurance – We know that success does not always come easily. We help our students develop the resilience to overcome setbacks, learn from mistakes and keep going, even when things feel challenging.

We are incredibly proud of our local community and the young people who are part of it. Every student arrives with their own story, strengths and ambitions. Our responsibility is to get to know them as individuals, understand what matters to them and help them make the most of their time with us.

Whether a student dreams of attending university, securing a degree apprenticeship, entering employment or following another exciting pathway, we want them to leave Sheffield South East Sixth Form knowing they have choices, that their hard work has opened doors and that they are ready for the next chapter.

Our ambition is simple: for every student to leave us with more than they arrived with – not just in grades, but in confidence, independence, resilience and belief in themselves.

We cannot promise that every step will be easy, but we can promise to walk alongside our students, encourage them to keep moving forward and help them recognise what they are capable of achieving.

Because at Sheffield South East Sixth Form, success is not just about where you start. It is about how far you can go, the person you become along the way and the future you build for yourself.

One Park, One Community. One future full of possibility.

What our students say...

Megane - Year 13 Student

Sheffield South East Sixth Form is a family; the teachers and students alike support one another.

Tamzin - Year 13 Student

I came to Sheffield South East VI Form because I had already attended Sheffield Park Academy for 5 years and knew that I was going to get the appropriate support and guidance up until year 13. Being at Park has inspired me to get involved in various volunteering opportunities which resulted in a solid foundation for my personal statement when applying to university. Attending Sheffield South East VI Form was fun and helped me develop my independence and confidence through the role of being a VI Form Ambassador.

Curtis - Year 12 Student

One aspect that truly sets Sheffield South East VI Form apart is its emphasis on holistic development. The opportunities for personal growth and community engagement were abundant. Inspired by my time at Park, I eagerly participated in volunteering programs. These experiences not only enriched my personal statement for university applications but also instilled in me a sense of social responsibility and empathy.

Freddie - Year 12 Student

Beyond the academic realm, Sheffield South East VI Form provided numerous extracurricular activities and clubs that catered to a wide range of interests. Whether it was joining the debating society, participating in sports teams, or engaging in creative arts, there was something for everyone. These opportunities allowed me to explore my passions, develop new skills, and create unforgettable memories.
