Dress Code

We insist all our students in the VI Form dress smartly.

Your appearance will reflect the professional image and good name of the Academy, and be such that if, for example, you were required immediately to visit an employer’s office you would feel comfortable and be proud of the way you look.

There are certain items of clothing that we will not accept; these are listed below.  If you attend the Academy wearing any of these, you will be asked to go home and change.

  • No hoods
  • No caps
  • No ripped jeans
  • No sweatshirts / tops with large brand or other logos
  • No Sports Trainers
  • No tracksuits / tracksuit bottoms
  • No crop tops / cold shoulder tops

PE students and Dance students will be required to attend school in the required PE/ Dance uniform on days where there are practical lessons. Students will be advised on the required course wear to purchase.

At all other times students will be required to adhere to this dress code. Students not adhering to the course dress code will be sent home to change into appropriate dress.

Jewellery must be kept sensible when attending the Academy; Safety precautions must be taken into consideration in the choice of jewellery. Make-up should be kept to a minimum. 

If students do not adhere to the dress code outlined above they will be sent home to change into appropriate dress.
