ART AND DESIGN
BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Art & Design (Equivalent to one A Level).
The entry requirement for BTEC Art and Design at Sheffield Park Academy is a Merit grade in BTEC First Art & Design or grade 5 at GCSE Art & Design.
Art and Design is a practical and engaging subject. Students will develop art and design projects and gain an understanding of the creative process. Through a combination of practical experience, students will produce pieces of Art and Design through the four mediums fine art, photography, graphics and textiles. The qualification consists of studying four units over two years.

Assessment is 50% coursework – 50% Examination
You will have a minimum of 5 hours teaching per week, with regular out of classroom work set. You will be assessed formally each half term and given bespoke feedback to help develop your academic understanding.
