Cyberbullying Portal

Welcome

eBullying also known as Cyber-bullying is the term used to refer to bullying and harassment by use of electronic devices such as PCs, PDAs, Mobile Phones - using e-mail, instant messaging, text messages and websites.

eBullying is meant to cause emotional distress and has no legitimate purpose to the choice of communication used. eBullying can be defined as simply as continuosly sending an e-mail to someone who does not want any further contact with the sender.

eBullying can be brought against and individual as a computer crime. In the USA it is a federal crime to anonymously abuse, annoy, threaten, or harass any person using the internet or telecommunication system. This is punishable by a fine and/or up to two years imprisonment.

If you are a victim of eBullying or cyber-bullying here are some ways you can catch the eBully to prove it is happening to you.

It might be good to build up some decent evidence first so when you report it the eBully will not have a leg to stand on!
