Introduction to the team

Welcome to Sheffield Park Academy VI Form.

We would like to thank you for choosing to follow your post-16 courses at Sheffield Park Academy.

We will do all we can to help and support you during your time here.  Whether you are a student on an advanced 9level 3) programme looking towards university and higher education, or entering the VI form on foundation (level 1) or intermediate (level 2) course, we want to ensure you  progress successfully  onto the next course of studies, further training and employment and meet your full academic potential.

We also want you to enjoy yourself while you are with us in the VI form and take advantage of all the opportunities that will be available to you as a student at the Academy.  Alongside your main course of study there will be enrichment programmes and opportunities for you which will be advantageous when progressing into the world of work.  

The VI form staff are all here to support you through your time at the Academy. Your success will be ensured through a strong, three way partnership.  This partnership between us, the academy's staff, you and your parents/carers is vitally important in ensuring your excellent attendance and academic progress.

Every student in the VI form will have a Personal Tutor whose role is to ensure that you receive pastoral and academic support.  This includes issues pertaining to your course as well as your attendance, conduct and general guidance on your progress.

Please, above all, remember it is a privilege to study within Sheffield Park Academy Our motto is "Work hard, be nice, achieve" and this is something that we want for you; we want you to achieve both your academic potential and achieve the goals that will allow you to be the person that you can be.  I am sure that you will fulfil your potential here and look forward to working with you.
