New Form Names

You may have noticed that our forms are no longer called by the year number followed by the form tutor’s initials.  This year, for the first time we have called our forms after notable Sheffielders and students are busy learning all about their form patrons.  A number of activities are planned already by enthusiastic forms and our Y7s have been preparing resources to help the older students learn details about their lives and achievements.  For your information, the new forms are called after:

Locke (Joseph Locke – Railway Engineer)

Firth (Thomas Firth – Industrialist)

Earnshaw (Samuel Earnshaw – Mathematician)

Talbot (George Talbot – Earl of Shrewsbury)

Sharman (Helen Sharman – Astronaut)

Thornton (Joseph Thornton – Confectioner)

Graves (George Graves – Entrepreneur)

Loosemore (Arnold Loosemore – Victoria Cross awarded for Valour)
