Festive lunch

Students and invited visitors were served a celebratory festive lunch by fellow students and Teachers yesterday.

The Academy Dining Hall was transformed into a festive space with joyful, merry music performed by the Academy choir and a menu including halal roast turkey with all the trimmings.

Thanks to the hard work of staff within the Academy including Eurest and the kind donations of local businesses the meal was provided at no cost to students. The vegetables for this event were kindly donated by ‘Fruit en Route' and the serving dishes were loaned to the academy by ‘Sheffield Catering Supplies'.

Fundraising took place for our nominated local charity, Bluebell Wood - Children's Hospice with gifts and raffle tickets being sold.

Principal Maria Nightingale explained that this was an important event where a whole school community shared a meal together, celebrating not only Christmas but marking the end of a term in which both staff and students have worked hard to achieve much!
