Academy Council – Newly Elected Members
Sheffield Park Academy is proud to announce the newly elected members of the Academy Council:

Year 7 Lauren Hopkins and Lelan Wright
- Year 8 Daleon Smith and Cobi Jones
- Year 9 Chicara Gerrard and Nemah Awadh
- Year 10 Batsarai Gono and Leah Copper,
- Year 11 James Lay and Brendan Belk.
The Academy Council is a vital part of the Academies strategic commitment to ensuring that student voice is an integral part of School Improvement.
In order to achieve this prestigious position students were initially voted by their form onto Form Council, then they participated in formal ‘Hustings' and were voted by their Year group onto the full Academy Council.
The first Academy Council meeting took place on Tuesday 29th November 2011 3.15pm to 4.15pm in the Conference Room at the Academy. During this meeting students debated many aspects of Teaching and Learning and also selected a Local and an International Charity for the school to represent. The charities are Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice and Children of Chernobyl Foundation.
