Master Cutlers Gala Dinner
Sheffield Park Academy’s performing arts students made their mark at this year’s Master Cutlers Gala Dinner.
The budding superstars wowed guests with their song and dance routines after being invited to perform at the event, held at the Cutler’s Hall in Sheffield on Thursday 29th September 2011.
The Gala Dinner is directly linked to the Master Cutler’s Challenge, now in its fourth year and one of the largest annual fundraising events in the region. It has inspired over three hundred companies, schools and colleges to raise in excess of half a million pounds for local good causes.
Wowing guests with their performances at the dinner were Year 9 student Alise Rowan with a fantastic rendition of Adele’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’ and the Sheffield Park Academy Dancers with a ‘Rock n’ Roll’ medley.
Master Cutler, Professor Bill Speirs commented: “I’m delighted that performers from Sheffield Park Academy appeared at this year’s Gala Dinner. My Challenge this year has been about people using their talents and it is clear that’s what these students have got.”
