The Mercedes Benz Challenge has been launched!
The competition has started! On Tuesday the 19th of January 2010, Adam Slater (General Manager of Mercedes Benz Wentworth Park, Barnsley) and his team of professionals have announced the content of our Challenge. Our 8 Y10 students were handed out a marketing project. They will be looking at marketing second hand vans and trucks. As part of the challenge, they will prepare vehicles for a photo shoot and a forecourt display, create a dealer sales campaign for emailing to dealer networks, create a magazine advert and a desktop display advert, as well as posters and mail shot flyers. All these will be published in national magazines, available in all good shops (like WHSmith!). Both teams will be judged in July by Wilfried Steffen (President & CEO of Daimler UK Ltd ) and Gordon Bridge (Chair of Governors). The Mercedes Benz 2010 Project trophy will be handed to the winning team. Mercedes Benz will be taking our students to Mercedes Benz World in Brooklands. They will be given a tour of the facilities, and be given the fantastic opportunity to drive a Mercedes Benz A Class with an instructor! Watch this space for more update as the challenge progresses! Go on Sheffield Park!
