Introduction 

The study of science is of great importance. Science allows us to understand how the world works, how are lives can be transformed by new technologies and provides the answers to all those "why", "how" and "what" questions.

As a curriculum area our aim is to develop confident, enthusiastic scientists who as well as reaching their academic potential within the subject have the transferable skills needed to contribute fully in the work place.
