ICT Department

Welcome to the Sheffied Park Academy ICT Dept. This is a very exciting time for us. We have new teachers, new machines, new courses, new sixth form provision and a fabulous new building.

New Teachers

We have expanded our staffing greatly this year, with 5 new and energetic young teachers, trained at Sheffield Hallam University.

New Computers

Students get to use state-of-the-art ICT equipment and enjoy an extensive range of multimedia software products.

New Courses

We have revamped our Key Stage 3 courses to make them more interesting and relevant to our students. In Key Stage 4, we are also doing OCR Nationals, Key Skills and ECDL (European Computer Driving License).

New Building

At Easter we will be moving into our new building. Alongside the new Springs academy building this will be one of the most expensive new school buildings in the country. It will have state of the art facilities-every classroom will have a brand new interactive whiteboard.

6th Form Provision

We are working closely with Springs Academy to provide a broad range of qualifications in the 6th form

Working on line

Students will be able to make use of an e-learning platform . Your child will be able to access their work from home and work will be marked on-line

Web design

We are looking to see students design their own web pages, both for their own pleasure and for a new way of presenting their work and equipping them with new skills for the 21st century.

Movies and Sound

Your child will learn to make and edit movies and sounds using a computer. Using computers in schools has never been so much fun!
